In today’s video, I’m going to tell you about the mindset killer hiding in your cabinet. I’m going to tell you about your addiction to it, limiting its impact, and how to replace it when it gets tough.

It’s SUGAR.

I know it’s a hot topic and people go back and forth on whether or not all the negativity is valid.

Truth is, sugar affects the reward centers in your brain. It stimulates your brain and releases neurotransmitters that give you that good feeling sugar brings. It molecularly is very similar to caffeine and even cocaine. They all cause addiction. It’s just the truth. Let’s go back in time for a moment.

Humans were not meant to live off sugar. Not to the extent in which we consume it today.

EVERYTHING HAS SUGAR NOW.

If we went back to even 50 years ago, people DID NOT consume sugar at the rate that we do today. Sugar wasn’t supplied in such volume as it is today.

If we went back to the 1500’s (I’m no history buff so don’t lose it on me!) people could barely get sugar, Only the wealthy were able to get it, even in small amounts.

Having a Coke was a luxury. My dad told me when he was younger his family would treat him and his brothers to a Coke, MAYBE once a week.

People were consuming about a teaspoon a day, at most.

The average American now consumes nearly 40 TEASPOONS PER DAY.

Think about that.

Your body does not know how, nor is it equipped with the ability to properly digest and handle all the sugar in our diets.

It’s no wonder we are reaching unprecedented numbers in childhood obesity and type-2 Diabetes.

I plan on doing a full course on healthy eating with the aim of breaking your addiction to sugar.

We are focused on the mindset.

Sugar has to go. It is everywhere, so read your labels.

It changes how your brain structures its thoughts and priorities. If you need, like really need sugar, its because your body is prioritizing it as a necessary chemical.

It raises your energy level temporarily because it’s a simple carbohydrate, and when that quick-onset crash comes, it brings on irritability, fatigue and even feelings of withdrawal.

We not only have sugar hiding in our food in all sorts of names, but we have drinks jam-packed with it.

After detoxing from sugar, I have clients tell me that they feel like they’ve come out of a fog. Ever heard of a sugar hangover? It’s real!

I personally recommend keeping your intake under 16 grams per day, which is still 16 times the amount people were consuming on average even 50 years ago. Imagine people 500 years ago!

The biggest favor you could do for yourself, mentally and physically, is to cut sugar consumption down – way down. Honestly, if you cut it out completely, it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. I mean it.
